Best Android Tablet Accessories in 2026

The box a new tablet comes in often holds less than you expect. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra ships without a charger, GSMArena found, and the OnePlus Pad 3 comes without its pen or keyboard, according to TechRadar. This guide covers the accessories that fill those gaps (chargers, pens, storage, monitor connections, audio, cases and stands) and what to check before you buy each one. Keyboards have their own guide: see our Android tablet keyboard cases guide.

Prices are from manufacturers’ U.S. stores, checked on November 1, 2026, and change often.

A Fast Charger

Check what came in the box before you buy one. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra supports 45W charging but ships with only a USB-C cable, and GSMArena notes that the included cable is rated at 3A. For its charging test GSMArena used Samsung’s 45W adapter with its own 5A cable and measured a full charge in 95 minutes. GSMArena lists the same 45W wired charging for the Tab S12 Ultra.

Samsung’s U.S. store lists its 45W PD Power Adapter with a 5A USB-C cable at about $50 ($49.99 list price) and the adapter alone at $39.99. The version with the 5A cable is the one to choose if your tablet came with a 3A cable.

Other brands differ. TechRadar reports that the OnePlus Pad 3 includes its 80W SuperVOOC charger in the U.S. box, though not in the UK; with a 65W charger instead, TechRadar took the Pad 3 from 5% to 100% in 121 minutes. For the Pixel Tablet, Google recommends power adapters and cables that support 15W USB Power Delivery.

A Pen, If One Isn’t Included

Samsung includes the S Pen with its Galaxy Tab S tablets, from the $399.99 Tab S10 Lite to the Tab S11 and S12 models, so most Galaxy owners never need to buy one. The pen differs by generation: on the Tab S11 Ultra it is a passive pen with no battery or Bluetooth, so it never needs charging but cannot act as a presentation remote, while the Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra pens have Bluetooth, according to GSMArena.

OnePlus sells its Stylo 2 pen separately for the OnePlus Pad 3, as GSMArena and Android Central note, so budget for it if you plan to write or draw. Our best drawing apps guide covers the apps that make the most of a pen.

A microSD Card for More Storage

Many Android tablets let you add storage cheaply. GSMArena lists a dedicated microSD slot on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Tab S10 FE and Tab A11+, and GSMArena reports that the Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra accept microSD cards of up to 2TB. Not every tablet has one: GSMArena’s specifications for the OnePlus Pad 3 list only its 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, so choose the storage size you need when you buy it.

Once a card is inserted, Samsung’s My Files app can move files to it, though Samsung notes that apps cannot be moved to the SD card with My Files. Our file management guide explains how to move photos, videos and documents to a card or a USB drive.

A Monitor Connection for Samsung DeX

If you have a Samsung tablet, a monitor turns it into something closer to a desktop. Samsung says that with a Galaxy Tab S10+ or S10 Ultra you can connect through an HDMI adapter and launch DeX on a compatible monitor, then add a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for a full workstation. Wireless DeX also works with smart TVs and smart monitors, and Samsung says any Miracast-enabled display will work without a cable.

This matters more on the newest models. Tom’s Guide found that on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the redesigned DeX shows its full taskbar only on an external display, and TechRadar reports that the One UI 8.5 update added a true dual-screen mode in which you can drag windows between the tablet and the monitor. Our productivity setup guide covers the full desk setup.

Headphones and Speakers

Check the connections first. GSMArena lists no 3.5mm headphone jack on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, so you will need Bluetooth headphones or a USB-C adapter. Both the Tab S11 Ultra and the OnePlus Pad 3 support Bluetooth 5.4, and GSMArena lists aptX HD support for the Pad 3, which is worth checking if your headphones use that codec.

You may not need a speaker at all: GSMArena calls the Tab S11 Ultra’s four speakers “very nice,” and the OnePlus Pad 3 has eight. Our OnePlus Pad 3 review and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra review summarize what reviewers thought of each tablet’s sound.

A Case That Fits

Cases are model-specific, and a thinner redesign can make older ones useless. TechRadar warns that cases and keyboards made for the Tab S10 Ultra and Tab S9 Ultra will not fit the slimmer Tab S11 Ultra. Pen storage is the other thing to check: on the Tab S10 Ultra, TechRadar’s reviewer found that the S Pen “clings loosely to the back” and recommended Samsung’s back cover, and on the Tab S11 Ultra, TechRadar’s reviewer found the magnets weak enough that the pen came loose in a bag.

A Stand for Desk and Kitchen Use

A simple stand helps with video calls, recipes and watching video on a desk. In TechGearLab’s tablet stand tests, last updated in March 2023, the Lamicall Desktop Stand was the best overall pick and the Amazon Basics Adjustable stand the best value. Check current models and prices before buying, since that testing is several years old.

Keep the Charging Port Clean

Lint in the USB-C port is a common reason a cable stops fitting snugly. For the Pixel Tablet, Google suggests gently tapping the tablet against your hand with the port facing down to dislodge debris, and contacting support if the port is loose or looks burned, melted or corroded. Our troubleshooting guide covers other charging problems.
